Not for People

Some people do not put forth the effort that they expect others to put forth. If you put forth effort to please them, you do not get it in return. That's frustrating. You work hard to help others and do the right thing, but then it just gets thrown back in your face. That hurts. Sometimes you not going to be good enough for someone, people, no matter what you do. Going above and beyond all too often goes unnoticed. It seems like it is all for not. Then I realized today, it's not about people around you. It's not about yourself. It's about God. God sees the good that you do. He sees that you go out of your way to help people. I have decided to put forth my effort to please God and not people here on earth. God is who is important.
